The Bloodstrings
Punkabilly
Somewhere between modern rock'n'roll and pop punk are the Aachen-based Bloodstrings. Their unique sound developed from a band initially based in horror punk and psychobilly to a complex mesh of musical styles that the individual members really love. Some songs are reminiscent of punk bands like The Distillers or Rancid, others use rock'n'roll elements like their sister band The Creepshow or hard rock elements like you find in Thundermother or similar.
Already their debut album "Coal-black Heart" from 2014 brought the Bloodstrings to stages all over Europe. In 2016, the Bloodstrings already released singles, like the song "Tonight We Dine In Hell" until their album "Born Sick" was released in 2017. Apart from a feature with Kitty In A Casket, this album was characterised by diversity from the styles of psychobilly, punk and hardcore. The lyrics more personal, the sound gloomy. This brought Bloodstrings to some big festivals, including the legendary Wacken Open Air in 2018. In 2019, they already recorded four new singles, which also had political messages for the first time, more festivals like Spirit Festival followed and Bloodstrings were also initiators of the "Boy Bands Suck" tour through Scandinavia, Germany and Belgium. After touring most European countries, the already widely networked band were planning their first foray into Canada, the US and Japan when the Covid-19 crisis ended their touring life prematurely.
They then released three of their four singles in 2020, led by "Tik Tik Tik", currently their most streamed single. During the pandemic, the Aachen band remained busy: in 2021, they also released their 10-inch EP "A Part" on SBÄM Records with the political single "German Angst" as a sign against racism and pro Refugees Welcome.
In 2022 we finally got together to release a new longplayer in the coming year. The good piece produced by the Donots will be released on vinyl and CD.
